From a request to a reply
MiMed’s updated concept starts with a medication name, strength, form and quantity, plus a search area. Provider catalogues help identify pharmacies that may meet the request; those pharmacies are then asked to confirm availability.
Confirmation without a live inventory
The proposed flow uses WhatsApp, SMS or email to reach providers. Replies distinguish confirmed availability, unavailability and requests still awaiting a response. People can then contact a pharmacy about prescription requirements and next steps. MiMed remains in development.
